Minareto

Built 40 years ago but recently restyled, the Minareto has 80 bungalow style Classic and Deluxe guest rooms and Suites, all of which have been expertly designed and sumptuously furnished, many having been refurbished in recent years.  Please note that Classic and Ortigia rooms have not been refurbished.

All the rooms are equipped with minibar, safe, TV, internet connection (WiFi is available in suites and communal areas), hairdryer, en suite shower room with bathrobes, air conditioning and terrace.

Classic Rooms  (23 m ² , king bed) sleeps up to 2 adults and enjoy views over the hotel gardens / grounds.

Ortigia Sea View Room  (25 m ² ,king bed) sleeps up to 2 adults with wonderful sea views.

Ortigia Deluxe Sea View Room (33 m ² , king bed) refurbished rooms with sea views towards Ortigia from the terrace.  Sleeps up to 2. For families, interconnecting rooms are available on request (rooms connect via a shared balcony).

Family Suite(45-65 m ² , king or twin beds) sleeps up to 4.  Refurbished rooms with bedroom and separate living area with double sofa bedwith views over the gardens.

Panoramic Suite Ortigia(60 m ² , king bed sleeping up to 3/4) open plan suites located on the edge of a rocky promontory with a private terrace with panoramic sea views towards Ortigia 

Jacuzzi Suite  ((40-50 m ² , sleeping up to 4) refurbished room with double bedroom plus a living area, private garden and outdoor jacuzzi

Panoramic Jacuzzi Suite Ortigia(20 m ² , king or twin beds, sleeping up to 2) refurbished in a contemporary style, these rooms have an outdoor terrace with a private Panoramic Jacuzzi overlooking the sea and Ortigia

Olea Suite(105 m ² , sleeping up to 4) refurbished in a contemporary style, split over two levels: ground floor with living area and corner bar; first floor with living room with sofa bed, bedroom and bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub. A spiral staircase leads to a small terrace with a panoramic sea view toward the island of Ortigia. Outside, the garden (35m2) has a jacuzzi.   Guests of Olea Suite have exclusive access to a large swimming pool, with an adjoining solarium, shared solely with three other suites.

Pool Suite(50-70 m ² , king / twin beds, sleeping up to 4) refurbished in different styles, each pool suite has a bedroom and open plan living room where an extra bed can be added.  Each suite has a private garden and 15m2 swimming pool

Jacuzzi Family Ortigia(50 m ² , king bed + double sofa bed, sleeping 4) beatifully refurbished suite with spacious bedroom / living area and 2 shower rooms.  There is an outdoor terrace with a private Panoramic Jacuzzi overlooking the sea towards Ortigia.

Panoramic Pool Sute Ortigia(50 m ² , king bed and sofa bed, sleeping upto 4) beatifully refurbished suite with spacious bedroom / living area and 2 shower rooms.  There is an outdoor terrace with a private Panoramic private heated pool overlooking the sea towards Ortigia.

Grand Suite Salicornia(70 m ² , sleeping up to 4) ground floor, living area with bar corner, bedroom and shower room. 700m2 garden with 11m x 2m pool.

Grand Suite Pistacia(70 m ² , sleeping up to 6) ground floor,  living area with bar corner, two bedrooms, 2 shower rooms. 700m2 garden with 11m x 2m pool.

Please note: There are 4 specially adapted Classic rooms with adequate wheelchair space. All rooms in the resort are on ground level and all paths throughout the grounds are paved.

The Luxury Complex has independent Villas, each with private garden and jacuzzi pool and a central shared 15m x 8m swimming pool with sunbeds and parasols only for the use of the villa guests.

Villa Limonium(100m ² , sleeping up to 4) two double / twin bedrooms villa boasting two gardens (20m ² each), one Mediterranean style with Sicilian lemon trees and the second one with a hydro-message pool (3m x 2m). There is an large open plan living area, kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower.

Villa Scilla(80m ² , sleeping up to 4) a circular villa with a spacious double bedroom, living area with sofa beds and corner bar, bathroom with bath and walk in shower. Outside there is a large 50m ² garden with a private pool (3m x 2m) and a roof top terrace with a jacuzzi and panoramic sea views.

Villa Agave(145m ² , sleeping up to 8) the ground floor has a bright living area with double sofa bed, shower room and bedroom. Stairs lead to the first floor with a second living area with double sofa bed, sea view and a double bedroom with shower room. Outside the large gardens feature a private swimming pool.

Villa Posidonia(145m ² , sleeping up to 6) split over 2 floors with a living room, kitchen and bathroom and the ground floor. Stairs to the first floor with an additional living area with sofa bed, double bedroom, bathroom with corner bath and panoramic terrace. Outside the large garden has a private swimming pool.

Villa Moneta di Mare(120m ² , sleeping up to 6) with panormic sea views, this villa has 2 double bedrooms (one with sea views) both with en suite shower room, open plan living area, kitchen, indoor hot tub and 800m ² garden with private swimming pool and panoramic views of the Plemmirio marine reserve

Grand Villas with 2, 3 and 5 bedrooms sleeping up to 14 people on request.

Please note: As most of the villas do not have kitchens, they are available on a Bed & Breakfast or Half Board basis.

The resort has a restaurant and bar offering light meals and gala dinners (high season), boasting a relaxed, elegant and modern atmosphere with lovely sea views. From the buffet breakfast to the evening meal, guests are offered fresh and innovative menus and individual preferences are well catered for. The restaurant offer parents with young children highchairs and earlier mealtimes can be arranged on request. A babysitting service (extra cost) is available should the parents wish to enjoy a more romantic dinner for two.  

The hotel also has a restaurant called Area M which is located on a deck over the sea on the island of Ortigia which can be easily reached by water taxi from the resort within approx 12 minutes (on request, extra cost).  It is possible to arrange cooking classes and cultural experiences here or simply enjoy lunch or dinner in this beautiful position.

A Delivery Menu operates 24 hours a day, where guests can order food to anywhere within the resort (extra cost).

As the only luxury resort in the Plemmirio Marine Nature Reserve, Minareto Resort is a perfect choice for keen snorkellers and nature enthusiasts. Fauna and flora can be found in abundance under the sea, along with numerous marine species such as dolphins and sperm whales.

This area provides guests with a unique opportunity to explore the reserve or simply relax on either of the rocky beaches or sandy cove, all with sunbeds, parasols and beach towels provided. For those who prefer it, there is a large pool centrally located and guests can enjoy a cool drink from the poolside bar. 

A concierge service operates from the reception for booking a restaurant, hiring a car or simply providing you with a wake-up call, staff will be delighted to assist you in any way that they can. There is complimentary WiFi in public areas and a water taxi to the island of Ortigia (extra cost). The hotel also has a well-equipped gym and there is tennis, golf and horse riding available just a few kilometres from the hotel. The hotel has electric bicycles that guests can rent, private parking and massage and beauty treatments are available (on request, extra cost).

The 2BE Minareto Spa is located on the first floor of the Minareto Tower and can be booked for exclusive use by couples for an hour (extra cost) with use of the jacuzzi, sauna and hammam.

Minareto Seaside Resort is located in the Plemmirio Marine Nature Reserve on the outskirts of Syracuse, a city rich in Greek and Roman architecture and which Cicero once considered to be the most beautiful of all the Greek cities.

Perhaps most famously, the city of Syracuse is home to one of the greatest ancient Greek Theatres dating back to the 5 ^th century BC and large enough to hold an audience of up to 15,000. This theatre attracts history enthusiasts from all over the world and is still used to this day for the annual Greek Theatre festival.

With other attractions such as the 3 ^rd century Roman Amphitheatre and the archaeological museum as well as an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars, Syracuse offers a fantastic location to experience Sicily. The island of Ortigia is also drenched in culture and boasts a vibrant nightlife.
