There is a choice of  Superior rooms, Deluxe Suites, Lodges in the grounds some with a jacuzzi, Exclusive and Grand Suites and a Sicilian Villa, all of which are spacious, elegant and unique in style to ensure that guests are provided with a comfortable and well-designed private space.

All the rooms are individually decorated and furnished using high quality materials and  have king size bed, en suite shower room with bathrobes, slippers and bathroom amenities, balcony/terrace, air conditioning, WiFi, satellite TV, telephone, minibar, safe, coffee/tea maker, daily cleaning and turndown service.

Superior Room  (30m ² , sleeping 2) welcoming and comfortable double bedroom, simplicity and sophistication are the key elements for the design of these rooms, en suite shower room, each with view of the Etna volcano and the gardens. Some rooms have a balcony.

Flora Lodge  (50m ² , sleeping 2) nestled in a lush paradise of Mediterranean and tropical plants these lodges, situated in a privileged panoramic position on the nursery and the Ionian Sea, have been designed to guarantee guests discretion and privacy. They are design dwellings, nests suspended from the ground, where nature and contemporary living coexist. Each room has a double bed, en suite shower room and a terrace.

Romantic Lodge with Jacuzzi  (50m ² , sleeping 2) ideal for a relaxing holiday combining design and sustainability. These double bedrooms are have an en suite shower room and are equipped with every comfort and distinguished by a panoramic terrace, a jacuzzi pool in lava stone surrounded by lush vegetation.

Family Lodge with Jacuzzi (50m ² , sleeping up to 4) built according to the principles of bio-architecture providing two bedrooms (king bed + 2 single beds), shower room and immersed in lush vegetation with a large terrace and private garden with jacuzzi pool. Ideal for families who want to relax surrounded by nature.

Exclusive Suite with Jacuzzi  (60m ² , sleeping up to 2 adults + 1 child) this interior designed room, with King bed and sofa bed, has all the modern comforts and a spacious 120m ² terrace with a breath-taking view of Etna volcano, the jacuzzi pool and the fragrant nursery.

Sicilian Villa with Jacuzzi  (75m ² , sleeping up to 4 adults + 1 child) 100m ² garden with sea and Etna view, 500m from the main building, surrounded by an oasis of greenery in the middle of the plantation, the Sicilian Villa has an outdoor jacuzzi pool, two bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin), shower room, lounge, outdoor patio and a large private garden.

Grand Suite with Jacuzzi  (95m ² , sleeping up to 6) located at the highest point of the resort with a breathtaking view of the sea and of Etna, this interior designed suite offers luxury comforts embellished with an outdoor heated jacuzzi pool overlooking the entire resort from the 150m ² terrace. The suite has a private entrance, three bedrooms with en suite shower rooms, a living area with electric hob and on the terrace it is possible to organise private and special dinners (on request, extra cost).

The hotel has created a lovely bar and restaurant in the original stable block, with an inside dining area with lounge, wine cellar and outside terrace surrounded with lawns, olive trees, flowering scented shrubs and views over the nursery. 

The elegant à la carte La Cucina di Donna Carmela restaurant specialises in traditional Sicilian cuisine with a modern twist, using only locally sourced, seasonal produce to create an imaginative à la carte menu. The restaurant also offers guests an extensive local wine list including wine from the hotel's own vineyard.

In addition, Sintesi Restaurant serves two menus; one a typically Sicilian menu; and the other a gourmet menu. Again, the restaurant offers guests an extensive wine list, including local wines and those from the hotel's own vineyard.

The hotel is approached from country lanes and there is a driveway with parking outside the main building. There is a lovely reception area where welcoming multilingual staff will guide guests to their room and offer information about the hotel and local area. In the gardens is an outdoor swimming pool and terrace with sunbeds and parasols, overlooking the nursery, a Wellness Centre for treatments and Fitness Room with technogym equipment and the possibility of hiring a personal trainer.

The hotel can organise wine tasting events, vineyard tours, botanical visits and excursions to Mount Etna, as well as various excursions to other points of historical and cultural interest such as Taormina, Acireale and Syracuse. Complimentary bicycles are available for guests use.

Donna Carmela is surrounded by approximately 10,000m ² of Mediterranean plants in Carruba di Riposto, just a 2km from the coast and 30km away from Mount Etna National Park. It is about 10km to the historic town of Acireale and 30km to both Catania to the south and Taormina to the north making it an ideal base for those looking to explore the east coast of Sicily.
