Relais Torre Marabino

Situated in the Saracen tower, there are 7 Superior guest rooms and Suites named after the various wines produced at the Marabino winery. All the rooms are in typical Sicilian style with wrought iron and wooden furniture, minibar, telephone, safe, satellite TV, WiFi, air conditioning and en suite shower room. The Suites also have a kitchenette (on request). 

Superior Room  (18-28 m ² ) these spacious rooms are located on the first floor accessed via steep stairs and lovely views. Terre Calcaree and Rosso di Contrada have sea views and sleep maximum of 2. Archimede and Terre Argillose have views over the countryside and can sleep up to 3.

Suite(15-38 m ²  + mezzanine 14-17 m ² , sleeping up to 5) located on the ground floor are 3 suites/mini-apartments with a mezzanine bedroom and sitting area, one with direct access to the garden and another near the pool, all with views over the neighbouring farmland and vineyard or the sea.

Breakfast is table service on the vine covered terrace overlooking the picturesque gardens and consists of an array of fresh local pastries, cold cuts, fruits, jams, organic honey and of course excellent Italian coffee.  

In the evening, the La Moresca gourmet Sicilian restaurant offers an intimate dining experience with Sicilian specialities created using the organic produce grown on the neighbouring Natura Iblea farm and accompanied by wines from the Marabino Winery.

The hotel is approached along a long driveway past the farm and vineyard. Paths lead through the immaculate lawned gardens into the tower with a small reception offering guests a warm welcome and hotel and local information. 

Outside there is a freshwater swimming pool with separate jacuzzi, with terrace and sunbeds, parasols and complimentary pool towels. There is also a children’s playground situated in the gardens.

Relais Torre Marabino is situated in the countryside in south east Sicily, 5km from the town of Ispica, a hillside town standing 170m above sea level. Ispica is one of several delightful Baroque towns in this area along with Noto, Ragusa, Modica and Scicli. The town hosts examples of Baroque architecture such as Vincenzo Sinatra's Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Annunziata Church, Carmine monastery and St. Barthelemy cathedral.  

The ancient town of Ispica was destroyed by an earthquake in 1693 and rebuilt on its present site but visitors can trace its origins back 4,000 years at the Parco Archeologico Forza and Cava d’Ispica with cave dwellings and tombs carved into the 13km gorge.

The hotel is 5km from the coast with some of the islands loveliest sandy beaches including Pozzallo, Santa Maria del Focallo, Marina di Modica and Sampieri. Slightly further afield, but still accessible for day trips, are the ancient town of Syracuse and Vendicari Nature Reserve.
