VOI Arenella Resort

The guest accommodation is arranged in two areas: the main hotel building and duplex bungalows in the gardens, both areas having a reception, bar and pool with children’s area. The rooms are simply but comfortably furnished and all have en suite shower room with hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, safe and minibar (extra cost), terrace or balcony.  There is the choice of:

Classic   Room  (23-34m ² ) double room (sleeping 2 + cot), triple room (sleeping 3 + cot) or quadruple room (sleeping 4 + cot, some with possibility of 5th adult bed) are spacious and offer an informal and relaxing atmosphere.  Quadruple Classic Rooms are composed of a living room with two single beds, a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with bathtub.

Family Room  (34m ² , sleeping up to 4 + cot) a double bedroom, a separate living room with 2 single sofa beds and 1 bathroom with bathtub.

Comfort Room  (23-34m ² ) double room (sleeping 2 + cot), triple room (sleeping 3 + cot) or quadruple room (sleeping 4 + cot) have been refurbished for 2025.  Quadruple Comfort rooms have a living area with two single beds and a bedroom with double bed.

Comfort Family Room  (34m ² , sleeping up to 4 + cot) refurbished, spacious room with a door dividing the bedroom with double/twin beds from the living room with two single sofa beds and one shower room.

Premium Double Room  (23m ² , sleeping up to 2 + cot) refurbished double room located in the main hotel building close to facilities and include daily change of beach towels (on request), courtesy set, mini fridge beverages (not restocking), a reserved table in Aretusa Restaurant (01/06-28/09), or a reserved table in a dedicated area of the main restaurant and daily entrance to the wellness pool (for guests over 12 years).

Superior Room  (28m ² - 34m ² , sleeping up to 3 + cot) refurbished double bedroom with separate living room both with satellite TV and include one parasol and two sunbeds per room reserved on the first, second or third row of the beach or a reserved place on the wooden deck (chosen allocation for entire stay), minibar (beverages included but not restocking), coffee/tea maker, daily change of beach towels (on request), turndown service, daily entrance to Wellness pool (for guests over 12 years), 2 Wellness Paths per person per stay (minimum stay of 3 nights) or 1 Wellness Path per person per stay for guests staying less than 3 nights, courtesy set, table reserved in Aretusa Restaurant (mid June-Sept) or a reserved table in a dedicated area of the main restaurant.

Superior Junior Suite(40m ² , sleeping up to 2 adults, 1 child + cot) centrally located with a double bedroom and a large living area both with satellite TV. This room include one parasol and two sunbeds per room reserved on the first row of the beach (allocation for entire stay), minibar (beverages included but not restocking), coffee/tea maker, daily change of beach towels (on request), daily entrance to Wellness pool (for guests over 12 years), 2 Wellness Paths per person per stay (minimum stay of 3 nights) or 1 Wellness Path per person per stay for guests staying less than 3 nights, courtesy set, table reserved in Aretusa Restaurant (mid June-Sept) or a reserved table in a dedicated area of the main restaurant.

Alfeo Restaurant provides an international buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner including Mediterranean cuisine with a range of local and regional dishes, organic products, vegan menu and basic gluten free products (bread, pasta, cookies and biscuits, cakes) with show cooking, weekly themed dinners and an open-air grill area (opening depending to the weather conditions and the management’s discretion).  There is a corner of the main restaurant dedicated to children aged 2-3 years during meal times.

Pizzeria I Mori (on reservation)  for dinner located next to the pool, the newly refurished pizzeria offers a wide selection of pizzas and includes water, wine and beer from dispensers (open 09/06-28/09 and at management’s discretion subject to weather conditions). 

Aretusa Restaurant(open 01/06-28/09):  Dedicated restaurant for guests staying in Premium and Superior rooms and Superior Junior Suites. It offers buffet style appetisers, side dishes, fruits and desserts and a wide choice from the grill and show cooking area.  Water, wine and soft drinks are included. At dinner the Chef proposes a special Table d’Hotel Menu with a choice of courses.

There is also a bar and self-service restaurant on the beach (extra cost), one bar in the main building, Pool Bar (open at management’s discretion), VOI Gusto Coffee Bar with outside veranda (extra cost) and local wine tasting and typical Sicilian sweet or savoury delicacies to sample (open 01/06-28/09, from 6pm to midnight).

Half Board includes: buffet breakfast and dinner with soft drink, mineral water, beer and house wine (from dispenser) during meals.

All Inclusive includes:  buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with soft drink, mineral water, house wine and beer (from dispenser) during meals + open bar (from 10am to midnight) with soft drinks, mineral water, juices, beer, wine, tea, coffee, local liqueurs, spirits and alcoholic cocktails (excluding international brands, ice creams and all beverages in bottle), sweet and savoury corners twice a day. All inclusive not available at the beach bar.

There are 2 swimming pools both with a children’s area and games area for children.

Sport facilities (30/05 - 28/09) include two boules courts, 5-a side-football pitch, floodlit tennis court, table tennis, beach volleyball court, bikes to hire (extra cost) and there is an open air fitness area. Upon reservation, there are 2 Padel tennis courts (deposit required for racquets).

The resort is 250m-600m from the clear blue sea and 800m from the beach, ideal for swimming and snorkelling. There is a reserved area of beach with sunbeds and parasols (available 01/05 - 30/09, 9am - 7pm, complimentary from fourth row, 2 sun loungers and 1 parasol per room) for resort guests reached by shuttle from 9am--7pm. 

Within the 4km stretch of coastline in front of the resort there is an area with wooden decks (available from mid May - mid September) with steps into the sea, sunbeds and parasols (subject to availability) and another small sand/pebble beach for guests use. Beach Towels are available with €10 deposit (each change €2).  A new (third) deck has been added for 2025 with showers and services to provide a more exclusive relaxation experience with a new bar with some options available to those on all inclusive.

A Club Card is provided for guests from 30/05 - 28/09 which includes beach service, entertainment, mini club and sports facilities.

The reception has a concierge service offering a weekly programme of full or half-day guided excursions (group or individual itineraries) to Taormina (135km), Noto (30km), Ragusa, Modica and Palazzolo Acreide. There is also a bus service to Syracuse (12km) from 01/05 - 30/09 twice a day (except Sundays) €5 per adult and €3 per child (under 12) for a round trip.

There is free WiFi all around the resort and in all rooms, bazaar, newsstand, library corner, games area for children, ATM, Internal Medical Service (mid June - mid September) free of charge according to fixed timetable or outside hours extra cost.

From 30/05 - 28/09 the resort organises a wide range of games and tournaments (beach volleyball, 5-a-side football, tennis and table tennis). Other sports activities during the day include muscle awakening, aqua aerobics, aero-fit and dancing.  There is also a playground for children.

In the evening, there are cabaret nights, dancing and the piano bar to relax with live entertainment. By night, there isdisco parties, dj sets and live music on offer.

There is also a PADI Diving Centre (high season only, extra cost) to explore the Plemmirio Natural Reserve.

Please note:  From opening to 30/05 and from 28/09 to closing there are limited facilities available including mini clubs, gym and tournaments during the day, piano bar / live music in the evening.

There is Children’s area dedicated to families with activities for all ages including sports, creative activities and games, assisted by a professional team of staff (30/05 - 28/09). The restaurants have specific child menu's.

Voila Baby(0-2 years, on request, extra cost: €30 per infant per day from 16/05-28/09). Please note: Parents must be always be present with their baby in the Nursery.

Young Club (13-17 years)

The Young Experience is dedicated to teenagers to socialise and keep active, supervised by activity leaders:

• Get-together area with video games and WiFi
• Dinner in dedicated area with VOI staff
• Party or Disco with evening show

The wellness centre has a swimming pool and surrounding terrace with sunbeds and parasols, sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, fitness area, hairdresser (on request), beauty and massage treatments, relax area and a herbal tea corner (all extra cost, paid locally, 12 years and older).

For those who need to work whilst on holiday VOI can offer a private space to work in a quiet area of the resort with a desk, high speed internet, coffee maker and packed lunch delivered to room plus check in and check out flexibility (extra cost), common spaces to work and possibility of room cleaning at a pre-arranged time. The resort also provides scanning services, printing (limitations apply) and parcel collection and delivery services (extra cost).

The Smart Working package costs €7 per room per day, paid locally.

Arenella Resort is situated on Arenella beach on the south east coast of Sicily approximately 12km south of Syracuse, a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site and a city rich in Greek and Roman architecture which Cicero once considered to be ‘the most beautiful of all the Greek cities’.

It is home to one of the greatest ancient Greek Theatres dating back to the 5th century BC and large enough to hold an audience of up to 15,000. This theatre draws history enthusiasts from all over the world and is still used to this day in the annual Greek Theatre Festival.

With other attractions such as the rocky Necropolis of Pantalica, the 3rd century Roman Amphitheatre and the archaeological museum as well as a variety of shops, restaurants and bars, it is possible to combine culture and shopping.  

The resort is well situated to explore not only Syracuse but also the island of Ortigia, Noto, part of the Val di Noto UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the other cities of the late Baroque period in the south east of Sicily including Modica, Ispica and Ragusa.

Also, it is possible to visit Mount Etna National Park with the biggest active volcano in Europe and the cosmopolitan hilltop town of Taormina with famous Greek theatre.
